Making a global impact As 2008 comes to a close, we reflect on that fact that we’ve made a lot of progress in breast cancer in the United States. Unfortunately in many areas around the world, breast cancer mortality remains unacceptably high with a woman dying from breast cancer every 75 seconds. That's why we've been expanding our mission to include awareness and programs in 50 countries including the Bahamas, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Ghana, Tanzania and the Middle East. You can help us continue making a difference in 2009.
Reducing disparities for minority women A recent study published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute promotes new tactics to address disparities in follow-up breast cancer care for minority women.
