Making an impact by investing millions
Improving breast cancer treatments and screenings, and unraveling why some breast cancer patients do better than others, are among the $60 million in research projects we are funding in 2009. This investment also includes funding of more than $25.7 million for four Susan G. Komen for the Cure® Promise Grants.

New legislation to reignite war on cancer
The 21st Century Cancer ALERT Act, sponsored by Senators Kennedy and Hutchinson, is our chance to reignite America's war on cancer. It will strengthen cancer research, develop new early detection tools and treatments, and improve overall cancer care. Learn how you can help drive this important legislation.

 
Funding needed programs in Costa Rica
We recently provided nearly $41,000 in community grants to address some of the most pressing issues Costa Rica faces in the fight against breast cancer. These grants will help fund programs aimed at increasing early detection of breast cancer.  Help continue global programs like this by donating to the Global Promise Fund.
