Join us for the 2nd Susan G. Komen Bahamas Race for the Cure®, in partnership with Sunshine Insurance Marathon Bahamas, on January 14, 2012! This Race will be held in beautiful Nassau and Paradise Island and money raised will enable us to fund breast cancer awareness and women's health programs in the Bahamas. About Komen in the Bahamas
Susan G. Komen for the Cure has been working in The Bahamas since 2008 in partnership with the Bahamas Breast Cancer Initiative, the Cancer Society of the Bahamas and the Sister Sister Support group, among others. In 2009, Komen for the Cure awarded Dr. Judith Hurley of the University Of Miami School Of Medicine, a two-year grant of nearly $300,000 to evaluate the genetic risk of Bahamian Women with breast and ovarian cancer.
