Managing Your Passionately Pink Event Center

 

As soon as your Passionately Pink® registration is complete, you have access to your very own Passionately Pink branded fundraising webpage!  This page has a ton of fun features:

• Create a vanity URL Give your Passionately Pink fundraising webpage a catchy name and spread the word on social media, emails, blogs and more!

• Add your own text Write about why supporting Susan G. Komen® is important to you, give details about your fundraiser, and encourage people to make a donation – no donation is too big or too small!

 Add a photo A picture speaks a thousand words, and you can add a photo of a yourself, friends or loved ones, event photos from last year’s fundraiser…you name it! 

• Send Passionately Pink branded emails Send emails to your friends about your fundraiser.  There are several templates you can use if you get writer’s block.

• Collect and Manage Donations Your fundraising webpage accepts credit/debit card donations through secure online transactions.  Donors immediately receive a tax receipt and gift acknowledgement.

Recognize your top supporters The scrolling honor roll recognizes your top 25 donors.

• Track your fundraising progress Use the fundraising thermometer to track your progress and update your fundraising goal.    


Creating a vanity URL for your Passionately Pink fundraising webpage

To create a vanity URL:

  1. Log in to your Passionately Pink Event Center by entering your username and password at the top of the screen.
  2. Once in the Event Center, click on the “Team” tab
  3. At the top of the page, click “URL Settings”
  4. Create your vanity URL
  5. Click “Save”

Spread the word that you’re going Passionately Pink by copying and pasting your webpage’s URL into social media posts, blog posts, emails and more!

Customizing your Passionately Pink fundraising webpage with text and a photo

To customize your Passionately Pink fundraising webpage:

  1. Log in to your Passionately Pink Event Center by entering your username and password at the top of the screen
  2. Once in the Event Center, click on the “Team” tab
  3. Create your own text in the “Body” box, and feel free to choose from several fonts, font sizes and colors, and other graphic treatments
  4. Upload a photo by clicking "Browse" and add a caption benath it (NOTE:  the images MUST be .jpg and MUST be less than 400kb – photos from your phone are probably fine as-is, but photos from a digital camera will have to be compressed/re-sized)
  5. Click “Save/Upload”
  6. To preview your uploads, click on “Content” at the right side of the screen and then “View Team Page” at the top of the screen just under the black bar

Make sure you create a vanity URL for your webpage, and spread the word through emails, blogs, social media and more!

 

Sending Passionately Pink branded emails

To send an email from your Passionately Pink Event Center:
  1. Log in to your Passionately Pink Event Center by entering your username and password at the top of the screen.
  2. Once in the Event Center, click on the “Email” tab
  3. Enter in email addresses in the "To:" box. You can also send straight from your address book. Ensure you have a populated Email Address Book by clicking “Contacts” on the right side of the screen – you can add email addresses here by clicking on the right side of the screen “Add a Single Contact” or “Upload Contacts” (for .csv files) or “Import Contacts”
  4. Add a subject in the “Subject:” box
  5. Either type your message into the text box under the “Subject:” box, or click “Use a template” to choose from pre-written messages (Reminder, Invitation, Thank You)
  6. At the top of the screen, choose to send, save or preview your message

You’re ready to spread the word that you’re going Passionately Pink®!

 

Collecting and managing Donations

When your friends visit your Passionately Pink fundraising webpage, they can make donations directly to Susan G. Komen using a credit or debit card in a secure transaction.  All online donations appear on your webpage’s fundraising progress thermometer, and the top 25 donors appear on the scrolling honor roll.

However, most donations are made by check.  Those checks should be made out to “Susan G. Komen” and include your 7- or 8-digit Event ID.  Send check donations to us at:

Check/cash donations must be entered in by the event coordinator in order to appear on the event's fundraising page. If you want your check donations that appear on your fundraising progress thermometer and scrolling honor roll:

  1. Log in to your Passionately Pink Event Center by entering your username and password at the top of the screen.
  2. Once in the Event Center, click on the “Home” tab
  3. Click on "Check your fundraising progress" under the "Steps to Fundraising Sucess"
  4. To view or download a list of your donors, click on the link "Download team donation list"

To enter in a cash or check donation:

  1. Log in to your Passionately Pink Event Center by entering your username and password at the top of the screen.
  2. Once in the Event Center, click on the “Home” tab
  3. Click on ”Enter new gift” on the right side of the screen
  4. Enter the information requested in the prompts, and click “Add” or “Save and Add Another”
  5. Enter in gift type and hit Please be aware these entries are not reported or verified in any way; if your supporters need confirmation their donation has been received have them send an email to passionatelypink@komen.org

 

Track Your Fundraising Progress & Update Goal

To track your fundraising progress:

  1. 1. Log in to your Passionately Pink Event Center by entering your username and password at the top of the screen.
  2.  Under "Steps to Fundraising" on the Home page, click on #5 "Check your fundrasiing progress".
  3. On this page you can view your event's fundraising progress, and update your fundraising goal if needed.
  4. To update your fundraising goal, click on the like "Change" beneath the goal
  5. Update and click Save

Register as a Passionately Pink Event Coordinator, and you'll have your own Passionately Pink fundraising page. Upload your own text, photos, accept online donations, and track your fundraising progress!
