How Can I be a Top Fundraisers for Walk Where You Are?

Susan G. Komen’s work would not be possible without our fundraisers. It is our honor to recognize those fundraisers who go above and beyond with their efforts and their support our Top Individuals raising $1,000+ and Top Teams $2,500+.

Your Walk T-shirt

All top fundraisers will earn this year’s commemorative event shirt. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it for WALK WHERE YOU ARE day on Walk morning, you must have raised your first $100 by September 29th at 11:59pm CT.

Local T-Shirt Details

We are now mailing shirts for survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer. Those who also fundraise $100+ by September 29th will be mailed their grey fundraising t-shirt. To receive your shirt in time for Walk Where You Are, you must register by September 29, 2024. For those participants who register and fundraise at least $100+ by the September 29th deadline, shirts will also be mailed prior to the walk. Anyone who registers after the deadline, including survivors, those living with metastatic breast cancer or participants meeting the fundraising minimum, will receive shirt(s) by mail after the event. The final cut-off date for participants to register, raise $100 and receive a shirt is November 26, 2024.

*Shirts are being mailed via USPS. As with any shipping provider, delays may occur.

How long is the Walk?

The distance is up to you, anything from 1-3 miles is what we suggest. You can choose your distance based on anything from how much time you want to give to a number that is significant for you and the reason you are participating. For example, if someone you love is celebrating their second year of survivorship you could walk two miles. Or if they did 18 radiation treatments, you could walk 1.8 miles. But really, it’s all your choice. It's an opportunity to be part of our community and support our mission from anywhere you are located.

What is the deadline for fundraising?

All donations on your behalf that are received through November 26th at 11:59 p.m. CT will be credited to your fundraising total and will be eligible for fundraising incentives.
