Explore our four pillar zones (Research, Care, Community and Action), visit the “We Remember” tent, meet our valued sponsors and more. Don’t forget to pick up your commemorative Komen Wrap for the Opening Ceremony.

8:15 am | Survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer meet at Hope Village.

Hope Village Celebration | 7:00 am – 11:30 am

Join us in the Hope Village area for a complimentary continental breakfast and pick up your goodie bag filled with donated treats just for you!

Pathway of Hope/Survivor Parade | 8:30 am

All survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer will walk, united, into our Opening Ceremony

Your Event T-shirt

All registered breast cancer survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer will receive a special event shirt to recognize your special place in our event. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on event morning, you must register by Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 11:59 pm CT.

Activities for Top Fundraisers & Teams

Susan G. Komen’s work would not be possible without our fundraisers. It is our honor to recognize those fundraisers who go above and beyond with their efforts and support – our Top Individuals and Top Teams. 

Top Fundraisers – Individuals who raise $1,000+

On event morning, follow the Top Fundraiser signs to the area reserved just for you! You’ll be gifted a special Top Fundraiser item to help you stand apart from the crowd, and we invite you to pop in and enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks provided by generous local partners. 

Your Walk T-shirt

All top fundraisers will earn this year’s commemorative event shirt. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on Walk morning, you must have raised your first $100 by Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 11:59 pm CT.

Top Teams – Teams who raise $2,500+

Every team that raises $2,500 or more will receive a tent and table in our Top Teams area. We encourage our top teams to bring snacks, drinks and items to share with team members.

Local T-Shirt Details

We are now mailing all shirts for $100+ fundraisers, survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer. In order to receive your shirt in time for Walk day*, you must register and/or fundraise $100+ by Sunday, September 1, 2024. Survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer who register, and participants who raise $100, after Sunday, September 1, 2024 will receive your shirt(s) by mail after the event. The final cut-off date for participants to raise $100 and receive a shirt is Sunday, October 27, 2024.

Please note there will be no t-shirts available for pick up either pre-event or on event day. Thank you for your commitment to Susan G. Komen and our efforts to simplify our t-shirt process.

*Shirts are being mailed via USPS. As with any shipping provider, delays may occur.

How long is the Walk?

The 2024 Komen Orange County MORE THAN PINK Walk will be approximately 2 miles in length, or you may choose to walk our shorter 1 mile route.

Getting to the Event and Parking

Please check back closer to the event for parking information and event maps.

Are strollers allowed at the event?

Yes! We encourage participants of all ages to join us on event day!

Can I bring my dog(s) to the event?

For the safety of event participants/due to local regulations, only service animals will be allowed at the event.

What is the deadline for fundraising?

All donations on your behalf that are received through Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. CT will be credited to your fundraising total and will be eligible for fundraising incentives.

Meet our 2024 Event Chairs

Donna Hartman

Donna is a two-time breast cancer survivor and has been a Susan G. Komen volunteer since 2013. She has had the honor of being named Susan G. Komen’s Most Inspirational Breast Cancer Survivor for 2014 and received the Promise of One Award in 2016. She is currently the Administrative Assistant and Communications Manager at Christ Pacific Church in Huntington Beach and Event Coordinator at His Place Church in Westminster. She is currently partnering with Dr. Lisa Guerra and Optavia as a Health and Wellness coach. Donna’s passion is to assist the newly diagnosed with the difficult journey ahead and hopefully make it less scary. This will be Donna’s second year as Co-Chair of the Susan G Komen Orange County More Than Pink Walk.

Edison Briones

Edison was born in Nicaragua and has a passion for fundraising and event management. He previously studied International Business at NYU and is a celebrity chef with a culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu. He has been Co-Chair and event sponsor for numerous non-profit fundraising campaigns including the Anti-Bullying campaign and the Desert AIDS Project. Edison is very involved in helping the homeless community through his church and leads a meals program helping provide meals for people in crisis. He recently founded and is CEO of EdisonFields, LLC and has partnered with Dr. Lisa Guerra and Optavia as a Health and Wellness coach. This will be Edison’s second year Co-Chairing the Susan G Komen Orange County More Than Pink Walk alongside Donna.
