Join City of Pompano Beach in the Fight Against Breast Cancer
Once again, the City of Pompano Beach is taking on the fight against breast cancer. We've created Hoops for a Cure so we can raise funds to stop this disease that affects 1 in 8 women during their lifetime. As the world’s largest and most impactful breast cancer organization, Susan G. Komen funds more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit, while providing real-time help to those facing the disease.
We want to join Susan G. Komen and Blanche Ely High School in their efforts to end breast cancer forever and we are asking for your help to make that vision a reality. Your gift will help provide education, screening and treatment programs for women and men in our community, and support cutting-edge research so that one day we can live in a world free of breast cancer.
On Thursday, October 24th, we are asking all employees to wear pink to work. Please make a donation online any time during the month of October. You can also stop by the Treasury Office at City Hall on October 24th to make a donation. If you make a minimum donation of $10, you will receive a pink Hoops For A Cure t-shirt.
Please consider joining us after work at Hoops for a Cure where our City Hoops for Health Team and our firefighters will challenge Blanche Ely High School Varisty Basketball Team in a friendly, competitive face off at 5 PM at the Mitchell Moore Center.
Thank you for your generosity and joining us in the fight against breast cancer!
