Join Me in Honoring Ruby Collins and Geeta Rao
Thank you for helping to celebrate our wedding by supporting the Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of our mothers. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Our mothers are two of these people. Now we are celebrating their courageous fight against breast cancer. To honor our moms and to celebrate their lives, we have decided to support Susan G. Komen in the fight against breast cancer.
Ashli's mom, Ruby, was diagnosed in 1995 with bilateral ductal carcinoma. She had bilateral mastectomies at the time of diagnosis and is a survivor. Ganesh's mom, Geeta, was diagnosed in 1996. She had invasive ductal carcinoma. She had a mastectomy followed by radiation and chemotherapy. Her cancer returned 2 years later for which she underwent chemo again and surgery. She lost her battle with cancer in 2001.
Please help us honor our moms by raising funds to support Susan G. Komen so they can provide education, screening and treatment programs for women and men in our community, and support cutting-edge research so that one day we can live in a world without breast cancer.
As the world’s largest and most impactful breast cancer organization, Susan G. Komen supports more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit outside the U.S. government, while providing real-time help to those facing the disease.
