Join Me in the Fight Against Breast Cancer
While I was still in treatment for breast cancer, I was asked by a friend if I wanted to be a "model" (I use that term VERY loosely :)) for a fashion fundraiser in Reston called the Runway to the Cure. I enjoyed it so much that my husband, Robert, and I decided we wanted to join the founder, Jane Abraham, owner of Scout & Molly's Boutique in Reston, to make it bigger and better the next year...and for many years to come. We formed a Board of Directors with superbly talented women and quickly started planning this year's event, details below.
I feel so energized and rewarded when I am helping other women in their journey, and by participating with the Runway to the Cure, I can contribute in a powerful way to help raise funds in an effort to stop this disease that affects 1 in 8 women during their lifetime. As the world’s largest and most impactful breast cancer organization, Susan G. Komen supports more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit outside the U.S. government, while providing real-time help to those facing the disease. I would be grateful if you would consider helping me reach my goal. You can make a donation in any amount online by clicking the button above my fundraising thermometer.
I hope you can join us!
