Give Hope, Save Lives
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, I will be hosting the 2nd Annual Indra Sharma Breast Cancer Awareness Bake Sale and a virtual 5K for the fighters, survivors, and the taken.
September 1995, Indra Sharma, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Seven months later, after completing treatments of radiation and chemotherapy simultaneously, she was cancer free.
The cancer came back in July of 1997. Things were a lot different this time around. She fought hard, but unfortunately cancer won. On March 4, 1998 Mom passed away.
For those that didn't know her, my mother was someone you automatically thought was your best friend. She had a way of warming up to people that just instantly made them love her. She had a smile that would brighten up any day. I always say that she is the most beautiful woman in my world.
It's been 22 years and although she's not with us physically, I know she's watching over our family.
Not only do I host this fundraiser in honor of Mom, but I also host it for those who have lost their lives and their loved ones. Everyone deserves a lifetime!
Thanks for stopping by. Let's help fight this together!
