One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
In 2018, our very own Cinda Norberg became one of those women.
Now honor her courageous fight against breast cancer by choosing to raise funds for her this year during the Jefferson Boys v. Kennedy Boys Lacrosse Game And Jefferson Pink Out Game.
Lacrosse goes back hundreds of years to Native Tribes here in the MidWest. It was a game played to bring communities together and to heal rifts that had developed among members of neighboring tribes. As we go back to the roots of the game, we revive this spirit of healing and community, using our skills as lacrosse players to do some good.
As many of you know, Cinda has been instrumental in BYLA, in development of Bear Cubs as well as serving on the BYLA Board. Cinda then moved right along with her children serving on both the Boys and Girls Jefferson High School Lacrosse Booster Boards. Finally, Cinda was the brains and the muscle behind the “Fun” Raiser we all enjoy so much each spring. Without Cinda, our lacrosse programs would not be where they are today.
So, it is our honor to dedicate these special games this coming week to Cinda Norberg, to Lace Up for Breast Cancer, and to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Please help our Bloomington Lacrosse Teams honor Cinda Norberg by raising funds to support Susan G. Komen so they can provide education, screening and treatment programs for women and men in our community, and support cutting-edge research so that one day we can live in a world without breast cancer
