Marissa's mother and several friends of their familes have battled breast cancer. The girls hope to raise awareness and contribute to finding a cure through racing in the Missouri River 340. The MR 340 is a canoe race in which the girls will be the youngest to have entered. They recently finished the Hugh Heward 50 mile challenge in Michigan. Together with their fathers, sponsors (Kruger Canoes, Kialoa Paddles, and RP Lumber) and all of you to support them they hope to finish the 340 mile paddle in 4 days.
As of July 31st ELM of Peoria IL will match 50 cents on the dollar for each donation until race end.
