Many of you know that I participate in the Susan G. Komen Atlanta 5k every year. But many of you do not know why I participate every year. Quite a few years ago, my grandmother passed away unexpectedly (not from breast cancer). While attending her wake, there was a podium in the center of the room. I wasnt sure what it was so, I asked my mom about it. She told me that breast cancer does run in our family, and my grandmother has always been a huge supporter of the Susan G. Komen foundation. It had always been something that she stood very strongly for. I had no idea. At that moment, I made a promise to her that I would continue her efforts. Since then, I have participated in the 5k and push to raise funds every year for donation to the cause. I have even created t-shirts that are sold in order to fundraise where 100% of the profit from the shirts goes towards my fundraising goal. This year is no different. So many of you have made such an impact every year with every donation. I cannot thank you enough. It is that time of year again and I am asking for help from as many of you as possible. Any donation makes a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. 75 percent of the money raised through the Race stays in the community to fund local breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs. The remaining 25 percent supports groundbreaking breast cancer research.
Together, we are fueling the best science, boldest community and biggest impact in the fight against breast cancer. And we will not stop until this disease is gone forever. That’s our promise. Will you please join me in this fight by making a donation today?
Peace Love Boobies
