My Story

It goes without saying these last few months have been overwhelming, scary and challenging. At the same time, it bothers me that too many women have experiences far more challenging than mine - be it a lack of emotional support, more aggressive cases or managing the exorbitant expenses that come with cancer. Don't get me wrong, it's been a shitty few months, but I have amazing support, a good prognosis and access to the best doctors in Atlanta.

That's why I've committed to raising money for Komen Atlanta - because I want to do something to help others who may not be as fortunate as me. I am registered for the Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk because I want to make an impact in the fight against breast cancer and need your help. I hope you'll consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.

Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. 75 percent of the money raised through the Walk stays in the community to fund local breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs. The remaining 25 percent supports groundbreaking breast cancer research.

I am still coming to terms with my own journey, but I have a lot of energy that I want to put toward fueling research and developing community support that will have an impact in the fight against breast cancer. I hope you will join me in this fight by making a donation today?
