Q. Where is the event?
A. The event will be held at BRAZOS PARK EAST ( 3516 N. M.L.K. Jr. Blvd, Waco, TX 76702).
Q. How much is the registration fee?

Q. Is my registration fee tax-deductible?
A. No, your registration fee helps defray the costs of producing the Race and is not considered tax-deductible. However, any amount that you choose to donate above the entry fee is tax-deductible.
Q. What is included in the registration fee?
A. You will get a Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® t-shirt, and a great feeling! The first 2,000 participants across the finish line will receive a customfinisher medal.

Q. How will I receive my Race t-shirt?
A. 1.)You can select the "Packet Mailing" option when registering online ($10 additionl fee).
2.)On-site Packet Pickup and Registration Days.

Q. How can I become a volunteer?
A. The success of Central Texas Race depends heavily on the support we receive from our volunteers in the months leading up to the Race and on Race Day. There are many ways you can get involved, for more information, contact us at 254.753.3037 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q. Are pet and strollers allowed at the event?
A. Strollers and Pets are always welcome at Race as this is a FAMILY event. We ask that owners come prepared to pick up after your pets. Thank you.
Q. What if it rains?
A. Komen holds the right to cancel or change the date or location of the Race in its sole discretion, including in the circumstance of extreme weather. It is likely, however, that the event will happen rain or shine. Please dress accordingly.
Q. Does the Komen Race for the Cure® require fundraising?
A. While our affiliate survives solely on donations and fundraising, You are not required to fundraise, but we do encourage all participants to fundraise above the entry fee. Just Imagine the IMPACT - If every Race participant raises just $100 in addition to their registration fee, we would bring in an additional $190,000 to support local screening, treatment and educational programs in our community!
Q. Does the money raised stay right here in our community?
A. Yes! 75% of the net income from the Race stays right here in our community to fund vital breast cancer health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs.
The remaining twenty-five percent supports Komen’s national research and training grants program

For donations on behalf of an individual participant or a team, please include that information with your check.
Q. Is there a deadline for fundraising?
A. All donations on your behalf that are received by OCTOBER 6, 2017 will be credited to your fundraising total. You can still turn in fundraising through the end of the year; however, it will not be credited to your fundraising total.
Q. How long do I have to collect and turn in donations to qualify for a fundraising recognition reward?
A. The Fundraising deadline for the Recognition Program is 4 weeks after event day (November 17, 2018). Donations to your fundraising page made up to 4 weeks after the event qualify you for one of our recognition items. Fundraising Rewards are NOT cumulative. Fundraisers may select on item at or below the level achieved. Race for the Cure recognition gifts are not cumulative. Participants must be registered to receive a recognition gift. Redemption certificates must be redeemed within four weeks of receiving them.
Q. How do I pick up my fundraising recognition gifts?
A. Thank you for all your hard work - we couldn't do this without you! Approximately 6 weeks after your event, certificates to redeem your recognition itme will be emailed from email@example.com (or firstname.lastname@example.org). Once ou select your fundraising thank you gift, it will be shipped to you. Susan G. Komen reserves the right to substitute an item f equal or greater value.
Q. Are patients, survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer expected to fundraise?
A. Just like our other participants, those who've been diagnosed with breast cancer have an oportunity to earn fundraising recognition items for their efforts! Many of our highest individual fundraisers are survivors and those affected by metastatic disease.

Q. How do I form a team?
A. To be considered an official team, you will need 10 or more registered members by the morning of the Race. You can form a team or join a team online. For more information go to our Team page at www.komenectx.org, contact us at 254.753.3037 or email@example.com.
Q. What are the benefits of a team?
A. Forming or joining a team multiplies the fun you will have on Race day. You can create a team to celebrate a survivor or honor someone you have lost. You can also create a corporate team and get your entire company involved. To learn more check out the Team Rewards page.
Q. Do teams have to fundraise?
A. While our affiliate survives solely on donations and fundraising, Teams are not required to fundraise but we strongly encourage fundraising. Fundraising as a team can be fun. Click here to get a list of fundraising events your team can do.
Q. One of my team members registered as an individual when they meant to join my team. How do they correct this?
A. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to get this corrected.
Q. Can donations made to a team be split or shared among team members?
A. We are unable to split or transfer donations between individual and team accounts.
Q. Will there be an area for my team to meet-up on Race day?
A. We do not have an assigned Team area this year. Feel free to rally your Team as needed.
