My Story
This year, I registered for the Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk because I wanted to take action and be More Than Pink. I want to make an impact in the fight against breast cancer and need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Although I am celebrating & praising God for remission for the sixth year now, we have heavy hearts as we recently lost our other SURVIVOR my sister Deidra during her 2nd battle with breast cancer that metastasized. We have peace knowing that as her husband Johnny said 'our loss is heaven's gain.'Deidra fought for five years and gave it everything she had- opting to get a double mastectomy instead of just a lumpectomy during her fist go-around, exhausting all of the chemotherapy options, getting radiation treatments, altering her diet, trying other natural medicines like black seed oil, but it was God's will that she return to be with Him.
Deidra's metastatic breast cancer was the one of the types with the lowest success rates and quickest spreading- triple negative. Your donation will provide funds for clinical trials and research towards our goal- a cure, so that Dorissa prayerfully will never have to go through everything her big sister Deidra did during her 2nd go around with breast cancer. To sum it all up, in Deidra's words 'what a journey.'
And don't forget:
Though outwardly we are wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:16
Will you please join me in theis fight by making a donation today?
