We Are SO MUCH MORE Than "Pink" in spite of COVID.
TEAM CTC WINS TOP FUNDRAISING TEAM FOR 19th time
Team Champions of the Cure RAISES OVER $1.5 Million for Komen grant programs in Washington DC Metro Area since 1999!! Team Champions of the Cure is THE TOP FUNDRAISING TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF THE KOMEN RACE FOR THE CURE SERIES!!
Our 2020 Goal: $100K!
COVID OR NOT, BREAST CANCERS HAVE NOT STOPPED AND NEITHER SHOULD WE.
Together, in 2019, we raised over $108,000 for Susan G. Komen's breast care programs. This is REAL money and helps THOUSANDS. THANK YOU!!!
I know we are all in very different circumstances than we were in last year. Yet I still ask you to please support my/our efforts because those facing breast cancer diagnosis are in a more difficult position than ever before; many are not getting the treatments they need because of COVID fears and realities. And the immune suppressed chemo patients with any type of cancer are really at risk.
So I ask you again to please help fund the end of breast cancers by making a donation and/or joining me in the Susan G Komen More Than Pink Walk as Team Member to raise much needed funds on Sat morning, Sept 12. Because of COVID risks, we’ll be walking virtually this year in our own neighborhoods. Everyone is welcome on TEAM CTC and if you sign up early enough, you will be mailed a 2020 Walk T-Shirt. So please sign up and/or donate today!
$300 can be used to fund three mammograms or provide treatment for an under-insured or uninsured woman. It also contributes to the research grants Komen supports that are changing the way the world diagnoses and treats breast cancers, saving lives.
With my re-diagnosis of breast cancer in early March 2010, I saw first hand the amazing progress which has been made since my first diagnosis in 1994 when I was a Stage Two with lymph node involvement. We've come a long way since the early years with Susan G. Komen’s vision and leadership. Komen's tireless fight in the war on breast cancers has changed the way the world deals with breast cancers and has helped millions. But there is still much work to do.
REMEMBER: **Monthly Breast Self Exams, **Annual Mammograms and Clinical Exams!! **Breast MRI is an excellent tool. ***Early detection is our best (and ONLY) protection!***
We need your help - please be generous. There are no cures for breast cancers, yet one in 8 of us will face a breast cancer diagnosis.
Help me help women (and men) who need our support.
From my heart to yours Hugs and THANK YOU for every dollar!
"Until there's a cure for breast cancer, we have work to do."
