I have always been persistent with my medical treatment if I felt something was wrong, and feel certain my persistence saved my life in 2002 when I insisted a mole be removed which turned out to be melanoma. So when I found a large lump in my breast in 2009 which didn’t show up on a mammogram or ultrasound I insisted on a biopsy which showed abnormal cells. Again my persistency found my cancer early and my treatment was a lumpectomy and medication for 5 years. Having a daughter, a son and a granddaughter; I pray that one day a cure for Breast Cancer will be found and that they will never have to hear those words, “you have breast cancer.” Fundraising teaches you to appreciate what you have and gives you the ability to help others and make a difference in our community. At some point in your life, Breast Cancer will affect someone you know; so please join me in this fight and make a donation today. Thank you and God Bless!
