I've done it again! I registered for the 3rd annual Susan G. Komen New England Impact Ride for the Fight Against Breast Cancer. I knew as soon as I finished the ride last fall that I would be riding again this year, it was a no brainer. Last year I completed my first century ride. 100 miles, a piece of cake! I plan to complete the century ride again this year. Again, the easiest part for me is the ride. I'll train like I did last year and yes I still call them my "therapy" rides. How hard is it to ride a bike for a day for such a worthy cause? Think about what the women and yes men are going through with the treatments and all that goes with battling this awful disease. I dare to say that all of us have been impacted in one way or another by breast cancer. It hits all too close to home in my family. My sister-in law Brenda, affectionately known as "AB", continues her battle against this disease. Some days are tougher than others for her but she faces it head on with a positive attitude and as always, worries more about her family and friends than herself. Truly unselfish.
I would like to thank everyone in advance for making a tax deductible donation supporting my ride on September 28th. I can't think of a better way to celebrate my birthday and am certain that with your support we can continue the fight against breast cancer with the goal of one day making this awful disease a distant memory!
Thank you for your generous support,
