Welcome to the Amanda's Army of Angels Komen Race for the Cure® team page!
I, Amanda, became a breast cancer survivor on November 3, 2011. I have since fought it a second time receiving another diagnosis on May 30, 2016. Currently, I am cancer free, but maintaining intravenous drugs to prevent its return. Each day is closer to more treatment options and longer life. I participate in this race with my friends and family in hopes to raise awareness and raise funds to such an important cause. Our team supports all survivors and remembers those lost in their battle.
We will be wearing the same t-shirts as last year. For a new t-shirt order, please click here to order one. The deadline for t-shirt orders is September 21. The race starts at 9:00 AM in Downtown Lexington, KY. Park in Lynn Imaging back parking lot and come inside Lynn Imaging for a light breakfast from 7:30-8:30 AM. Following breakfast, we will walk to the race together at 8:40 AM (0.6 mile walk). Please plan to take items with you when leaving Lynn Imaging, as we will not get back into the building after the race.
As a member of this team, we are each playing a part in helping Susan G. Komen® end breast cancer forever.
Together, we are fueling the best science, boldest community and biggest impact in the fight against breast cancer. And we will not stop until this disease is gone forever. That's our promise.
