Again this year, I registered for the Komen Virginia Blue Ridge Race for the Cure because I want to make an impact in the fight against breast cancer. This is the ninth Virginia Blue Ridge Race for the Cure and I have participated every year. Please consider making a
tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts. Donate now to me and the Bunch of Outrageous Babes!
You can donate online with your credit card by clicking the button above my fundraising thermometer.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. 75 percent of the money raised through the Race stays in the community to fund local breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs. The remaining 25 percent supports groundbreaking breast cancer research.
Together, we are fueling the best science, boldest community and biggest impact in the fight against breast cancer. And we will not stop until this disease is gone forever. That’s our promise.
My team is the Bunch of Outrageous Babes and we have many "Survivors" on our team, in addition to some very good friends and family. I walk in memory of my Mother, Mary, who lost her five year battle with breast cancer in 1992 at the age of 58. I also walk in memory of Jim's cousin, Carolyn Frantz Gephart, and my friends, Holly Hadden, Kat Werner, Ruth Ellen Hurley and Chandler Hotchkiss. I walk in honor of survivors, Elaine, Lauren, Ann Blair, Ginny, Liz, Elizabeth, Deborah, Brenda, Sara, Gina, and Marilee. Every week it seems I add to this list. This needs to stop! We must find a cure! I walk because I do not want my daughter Mary (pictured in the photo to the left)to hear the words we all dread..."you have breast cancer"! Will you please join me in this fight and make a donation today?
Thank you for helping make a difference!
