Hi Family and Friends,

I once again have accepted the challenge to  participate in the 21st  Annual Komen Central
Virginia Race for the Cure® on May12th in the fight against breast cancer. Thank you so much for all of your support, encouragement and prayers.  This is my 9th  year doing the Race for the Cure® and I  have been cancer free for 8½ years.  This year I wiII be joining another survivor and friends. There is a trolley that picks up those who can't make it, but  our goal is to finish.  I know the following letter asks for your financial support and if you want to
support me that way it would be great. I challenge all of you to join me in the Race for the Cure it is a great walk or run. The last nine years has given me an amazing feeling not just finishing, but knowing that I am helping to make a difference. I  know that with your support, prayers and by the grace of God that we will finish the race and know that we are truly blessed to be participants.

I  know my supporters are just as passionate as I  am. You're not one to get lost in a crowd of
pink. You stand for what you believe in. You, Komen, breast cancer survivors, and co-survivors
around the  world: We're much more than just a color. We are More Than Pink .

Today it  seems nearly everyone knows someone who has been impacted by breast cancer.  That's why we all need to keep up the good fight - and why I'm  participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®.  In the face of this deadly disease, it's not enough to simply say you support the
breast cancer cause. It's time to take action and to show that we're More Than Pink™ by joining the
fight.  Race for the Cure® is an important community event that helps accomplish several
goals:

Honors breast cancer survivors and co-survivors

Memorializes those who have lost their battle to the disease

Raises vital funds for education, screening, treatment, and national research programs

Please join me in the fight for a cure by donating in support of my participation in the Race. Online donations are simple, and the site is secure. Please go to  my fundraising page and make a
tax-deductible donation online by clicking this link:

appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress. Thank you so very much for  caring and your support.

God bless each of  you, Lora Hayes
