We were staying at the Pebble Cove Farm on Orcas Island. It was a rainy day, and we were sitting under a covered porch reading. The owners son came out and gave Lynn a quilt to keep her warm. The family dog jumped onto Lynn's lap and snuggled up to her. She was in heaven on earth as you can see. This is how I want to remember her.
She went through all sorts of indignities, that nobody should have to endure during the 14 years she battled this awful disease. She was poked, prodded, pierced, poisoned, cut open, and a host of other terrible things that no human being should have to be subjected to. But during all of this torture, she remained strong, positive, and NEVER complained. She loved life ! Loved to travel. She wanted to see the world, and we were lucky enough to at least make a dent in it. But most of all she loved her family and friends. And now she's gone. Lost her battle on Thursday March 20 2014, at 6:58PM. She was defiant, strong and brave to the end. She passed away full of grace ! Please help to eradicate this terrible disease. Give generously, so hopefully some day soon, the researchers can find a cure. Give generously, so someone else's affected loved one may have a chance to live a long, happy, and healthy life. Thank you very much on behalf of Lynn and myself. I miss her dearly.
