We have all been touched, directly or indirectly, by breast cancer. We've had family, friends and co-workers who have fought and won, and others who eventually lost their battle with the disease. I have watched, just as you have, the fight of these individuals and those around them, wishing I could make a difference in their lives. Six years ago this spring, when I lost my mom to cancer, the outpouring of love and kindness and generosity of so many people, changed my life forever...so now I want to do something, with the hope of changing the lives of others forever too.
The "SIGN THE SHIRT, SAVE A LIFE" idea was inspired by my co-worker who is a breast cancer survivor. Thinking she needed a little encouragement to recover from her last surgery, I bought the "Laugh.Dance.Cure" shirt as a surprise for her..and an idea was born. I purchased a second shirt to raise money for money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help all those affected by breast cancer.
We have tickets to the Ellen Degeneres show on March 9 and plan to present the shirt and $10,000 to her.
Here's what you can do to help:
DONATE! Any amount is greatly appreciated, but $50 gets your name on the shirt.
If you cannot commit financial support, make an effort to something to make a difference for those affected by breast cancer.
Thank you for your consideration.....now spread the word!
