Fundraising is easy with online fundraising tools! When you register for the 2023 Komen Vermont Ride for the Cure you automatically receive your own fundraising page which may be personalized. Start now by logging in, and encourage everyone you know to visit your site, see what you are doing in the fight against breast cancer and donate on your behalf. Need your log in information? Your Participant Center houses templates to make sending e-mails to your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members as easy as can be! From the Participant Center you may set up your personal web page, send e-mails and connect on social media through Facebook. Be sure to check your Participant Center often for new donations and messages.
Collecting Cash or Check Donations?
Checks and money orders (please do NOT send cash), made payable to “Susan G. Komen”, accompanied by a completed 2023 pledge form, should be mailed by October 3, 2023 for donations to be credited toward your fundraising level for Ride Day prize recognition. Donations and forms received after October 8 will be added to your fundraising total, but will not be included in fundraising recognition prizes. Participants: Be sure to include your full name and complete contact information on the donation/pledge form so that we may inform you of additional donations received on your behalf. Also, on the form, please be sure to list the full names and addresses of people who make donations on your behalf so that we may send them their tax-deductible receipt.

Fundraising Tips
Thousands of women and men who could not afford breast health care have received screenings, education, and treatments because of dollars raised by fundraising horseback riders just like you.
Join the fight to save lives and end breast cancer forever by not only committing to a your minimum fundraising goal today (Adults/Survivors $150 and Youth 12-17 years old $75), but striving to surpass that minimum commitment.
Here are some tips from past top Ride Fundraisers.
- Set a personal goal today. Remember, your Adult/Survivor or Youth minimum commitment is just the beginning. When you reach your first goal, raise it by $100 and so on.
- Make the first gift yourself. A self-donation shows others your commitment to the Komen mission of putting an end to breast cancer forever.
- Utilize your Participant Center. Take advantage of online tools including a customizable web page. Personalize your Ride page and tell your “why”. Add a photo of you and your horse. Use the email templates (login now) to ask friends, co-workers, neighbors and family members to make a donation to support you.
- Spread the word on Social Media. Don’t underestimate the power of Facebook fundraising (connect fundraising from your Komen Participant Center). And, use Twitter messaging. Post your “why you ride”!
- Partner with your workplace with Matching Gifts. Does your company have a matching gift program?
- Keep at it. Statistics show that it may take 2 or 3 “asks” before someone makes a donation.
